Informatik OCR is a versatile, yet inexpensive Optical Character Recognition (OCR) program, available as a desktop version and as a developers component (DLL). There are two versions of the developers' kits (DLL): The Basic Version supports TIFF, BMP, PNG and JPEG file formats, but not PDF; the Standard Version also supports PDF and JPEG-compressed TIFF files.
